I like that thing you said about using your privilege to call people out. As an ally, I'm never sure of what I can do to help, but you're right about calling out the oppressive language and actions of others. I'm going to keep that in mind, also thank you.
I’m glad it helped! It’s always important to remember not to speak in the place of an oppressed individual who could speak for themselves, but if you’re in a group of privileged people who are using oppressive language, I consider it to be 100% the job of someone who considers themself to be an ally or a supporter to call out the use of that language. If you can, support someone with experience on the topic in speaking about it, but if they aren’t around, use your voice. I’m super happy that post helped you. :)
